Custom Agents are also called Custom Broker. They get registered with Custom(FBR) and a challan number (6694/2225 like us) is issued to them to file Goods Declaration for clearance of goods both import/export
Customs clearance is the process of preparing and submitting the necessary informations & documents provided by importer after checking all carefully in form of Goods declaration to facilitate the import or export clearance. It ensures that all duties and taxes are paid, and goods are legally allowed to enter or leave a country.
For both import and export customs clearance, the following documents are typically required;
- Commercial Invoice
- Bill of Lading (B/L) or Airway Bill (AWB)
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin
- Other documetns are also required from authorities incase of import medical eqp,solar, food, live animals like, DRAP, PSQCA, FOOD DEPARTMNET, QUARNANTINE CERTIFICATE IF
The time required for customs clearance varies depending on the type of goods, volume, and accuracy of documents. Generally, it can take 1-4 days if all documents are in order, but it may take longer if there are complications.
